Call for Abstracts
The University of Rijeka and the University of Klagenfurt cordially invite doctoral candidates to participate in the International PhD Conference, which will take place at the University of Rijeka on 13 – 14 November 2026.
The conference will focus on Dual-Use Technologies and Artificial Intelligence.
Doctoral candidates are invited to present their research through oral or poster presentations and to exchange ideas, experiences and perspectives with fellow doctoral researchers and established researchers from the participating universities.
The call is open to doctoral candidates from all disciplines whose research is relevant to the conference theme.
Submission Requirements
Applicants are kindly requested to submit the following information:
➢ Presentation title
➢ Author(s)' name(s)
➢ E-mail address
➢ University and doctoral programme
➢ Abstract (maximum 500 words)
➢ Preferred presentation format: oral or poster
Oral presentations should last between 10 and 15 minutes and will be followed by a discussion session.
Poster presentations will be presented during a dedicated poster session.
The abstract should briefly describe the research topic and its relevance, the research question(s) or objectives, the research design and/or methodology, the main or preliminary findings or expected results, and the contribution of the research to the conference theme.
The working language of the conference is English.
