The session will open with an institutional perspective, highlighting the strategic role of international mobility in doctoral education. This first part will address how universities and European University Alliances frame, support and promote mobility within doctoral training, as well as the challenges involved in aligning institutional strategies with doctoral candidates’ needs.
In a second part, a roundtable discussion will bring together doctoral candidates and recent PhD graduates to share first-hand experiences of mobility, discuss practical and personal challenges, and engage in an open exchange with the audience.
The session aims to foster dialogue between institutions and early-career researchers on how mobility can be better integrated into doctoral training across Europe.
