Information on funding and merit-based scholarships offered by the faculties is available from the respective deans’ offices at the University of Graz:

Travel grant for doctoral students at the Faculty of Environmental, Regional and Educational Sciences

Cost contribution for academic events

  • The SOWI Doctoral Programme Student Council is offering a grant to support doctoral students at the SOWI Faculty. Funding is available for:
    • participation in academic conferences
    • participation in a subject-relevant course
    • participation in subject-specific and research-related conferences, courses and workshops
    • travel expenses for a dissertation supervisor to attend the Rigorosum II
    • publications arising from a SOWI doctoral thesis
